Q: What is automatic
giving?
Automatic giving is an electronic
transfer program that allows you to make your contribution
without writing a paper check.
Q: If there’s no check, how do I
keep my checkbook balance straight?
You simply record the transaction in
your check register on the date you have chosen to have
funds withdrawn.
Q: What if I change banks?
You can complete a new
authorization form with your new account information and
Coastal will update your record.
Q: How much will it cost me?
It costs you nothing and it saves you
time.
Q: What are the advantages of using
eOffering?
You can prioritize your giving in your
budget, increase your faithfulness to God, save time, and
help the church stabilize its overall budget.
Q: Is electronic giving risky?
It’s actually less risky than a paper
check because it cannot be lost, stolen, or destroyed in the
mail. Electronic transactions also more secure and have a
higher rate of accuracy that paper based transactions.
Q: How do I verify my giving at tax
time?
Coastal Community Church will include
your eOfferings on your giving statement.
Q: How is my eOffering
deducted from my account?
Once you authorize your eOffering,
your specified contribution is electronically transferred
from your account to the church’s
account.
Q: When will my eOffering be
deducted from my account?
On the date and as often as you have
given authorization to do so. You may choose a weekly, bi-
monthly or monthly schedule so you never have to worry about
forgetting to make your contribution.
Q: What if I want to increase my
eOffering amount?
You can change any information by
simply filling out another authorization form.
Q: What if I try eOffering and don’t
like it?
You can cancel your authorization by
completing a second form and checking the box marked “Discontinue
automatic withdrawal of funds.”
Q: How do I sign up for eOffering?
Complete and sign the authorization
form put it in the Sunday Offering along with a voided check
or savings account deposit slip. The form is available
at
this link in a Word document
format.
